Chorleywood is as good as we make it

… or as bad as we let it become

Welcome to Chorleywood Residents’ Association

We hope you find this website a useful source of helpful and interesting information about our village. Click on the tabs above for information on key topics, or scroll down this page to see our latest news posts.

Chorleywood Residents’ Association was established in 1968, and is run by a dedicated group of community-spirited volunteers who are passionate about maintaining the special and friendly character of Chorleywood.  All Chorleywood residents are automatically members of the Residents’ Association.

You can keep up to date with news and our activities in Chorleywood by subscribing to our newsletter and visiting us on Facebook and Twitter.

Chorleywood Residents’ Association is funded by voluntary donations from residents, membership of our 100 Club, and local businesses advertising in our twice-yearly magazine, The Chorleywood Resident, which is delivered to each and every household in Chorleywood Parish.

Volunteers are always welcome.  Please get in touch using our Contact Form if you’d like to get involved!

If you have any problems or suggestions, please use our Contact Us page to let us know.

CRA wildflower competition

Send us your photos of wildflowers in Chorleywood’s lovely grass verges, naming the flowers in your covering email.

There are two prizes of £25 Lords Vouchers on offer, one for children of 16 and under, and the other for 17 and over.  See if you can match your grandparents’ wildflower knowledge!  The winner will be the entrant(s) with the highest number of correctly identified species.

Our deadline is Sunday June 16th; the winners will be announced at Chorleywood Village Day on July 13th.

We have asked that Herts County Council adhere to No Mow May but there is a risk that come June they will start mowing again. So beware!

Join our 100 Club, the odds are good!

Every month we draw four prizes for our 100 Club members: three of £10 and one of £50 (except May and December when the top prize is £100!).  That’s 48 chances to win each year, and with only 109 members right now your annual chance of winning is 44%!

Each membership costs £30 per year, and you’re allowed as many entries as you like.  At £2.50 per month it’s less than the price of a coffee.

CRA is funded by 100 Club memberships and donations, so help us to support Chorleywood, and maybe you’ll be a winner!
